The March of Dimes, one of the largest, most successful programs, is a very special organization to help and save babies. In their 28-year relationship with FBLA-PBL, members are a major part of the March of Dimes youth volunteer program. �March of Dimes �has had breakthrough medicine and technology that saves babies' lives. March of Dimes prevents birth defects and infant mortality. Over 135 million babies have been saved from death or disability by polio vaccines, and estimation 15,000 babies have been saved from mental retardation because of the PKU test. FBLA-PBL has almost rasied $10 million for the March of Dimes research!
Mission LIFT? HUH?
Mission LIFT is a new collaboration between FBLA-PBL and the March of Dimes. It specializes in members to volunteering in March of Dimes in WalkAmerica. WalkAmerica is the biggest �annual fundraiser supporting the March of Dimes fight to save babies. Eighy percent of all funds raised in WalkAmerica comes from 20,000 teams that take part in WalkAmerica.�Five percent of funds raised by FBLA-PBL chapters will go to the FBLA-PBL National Association. WalkAmerica is the walk that saves babies.
